“Wild West Experience” at St. Regis

St. Regis Hotel was the location of a willing group of guests from far and wide who gathered to meet friends and learn the ways of the old West. Delectable food was served, foot-stomping music was performed and folks jumped back in time to the days of the wide open frontier.

Lewis Events brought the adventure to life with virtual calf roping, gold panning, trick roping, and real-life Western heroes. Brave participants rolled up their sleeves and did their best to rope the cow before it ran off to the wide-open prairie.

Forty-niners heard the call of gold discovered in Park City and rushed to stake their claim. Miners ferociously panned for riches in the Wasatch range rivers and streams with the occasional cry of “Eureka” heard over the music drifting from the local saloon.

After an evening of roping, panning, and calf gathering, Park City has a whole new slew of Cowgirls and Cowboys to tame the West.

Happy Birthday Pasadena . . . Lights, Camera, Action!

Pasadena Museum of History Celebration

Lewis Events was recently invited to participate in the City of Pasadena’s 138th birthday celebration held at the Pasadena Museum of History. The special occasion was hosted in conjunction with their new exhibition entitled, “LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! Hollywood Magic in Pasadena“, “which highlights the city’s intrinsic role in the multidimensional world of filmmaking”. Guests were welcomed with a movie premier grand entrance and snapped pictures in a movie-making photo vignette.

Key areas of the museum property featured iconic scenes from popular blockbuster films accompanied by costumed characters. A replica, “Back to the Future” time machine Delorean was also spotlighted.

The FĂ©nyes Mansion served as a beautiful background for the theater-style snack bar, DJ, and featured entertainment. Each hour dances from popular films were performed and taught to the willing audience. Dances included Hand Jive, Thriller, Wednesday Adams, Footloose, and the entire YMCA routine.

Christy served as MC for the formal portion of the program and led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday Pasadena”, with Pasadena’s Mayor Victor M. Gordo performing the honorary cake cutting.

Pasadena locations have been featured in films including Father of the Bride, The Sting, La La Land, and Back to the Future. We enjoyed bringing the silver screen alive for Pasadena and hope for another amazing 138 years!

A Spectacular Silver Screen Halloween

Hollywood Party Marquee

Each year as the leaves fall and the chill arrives, we celebrate Halloween with a modest social gathering among friends and family. To create anticipation and keep the special occasion new and exciting we change the theme each year. This year we transported our special guests back in time to early Hollywood with a bit of a haunted twist.

Guests arrived costumed as a silver-screen character or celebrity. A variety of delectable treats were served complemented by a gourmet caramel apple and soda bar. Guests visited with old and new friends, played games, and moved with on-screen dance routines and lively haunting music! It’s a wrap!
